After I received an invitation to join the School of Practical Ministry, I left my home and church where I serve as an associate pastor on August 10th and embarked on a long 20hr journey to the coastal town of Diani, Kenya for the training. It was my first time to travel this long distance and the trip proved to be beneficial and impactful upon my life.

Upon arriving (where the class was being held) I got the chance to meet with pastors from different parts of the country. We were given the manual for our 10day study course (School of Practical Ministry) by EVANGEL THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY.

The course coverage were biblically based and sound. The classes were very very interactive as the facilitators allowed questions and answers time that made the classes to be more engaging.

What struck me most was the design of the lessons as they were more focused on an individual learning and experience. I was so much touched by all the modules especially module 4 about the person of the Holy Spirit.

I felt being renewed and being refilled and refreshed once again by the Holy Spirit, because when I left my home-town, my heart was heavy and cold as a result of the ministry burden, but (as) the lessons were going on I felt like the baggage was being lifted off one by one. I was even able to have an effective communication with my wife, as I had left home when we had strained relations.

I thank this school so so much for the transformation it has brought upon my life and family. (emphasis added) These principles ( serving the kingdom and understanding the call etc.) I continue to share with our church community and marriages are being rectified.

Hello, praise God brethren, my name is Veronica from Kenya and a graduate of (the) School of Practical Ministry 2024 class that took place in Diani Kenya. (The) SOPM class has helped me to birth God's purpose in my life by rooting me in the Word and taking me back to the foundation which is the Word of God right from graduation day,

I wrote down a reading plan which is helping me read from Genesis to Revelation in a year. SOPM also made me realize the need for preaching the word to all humanity and this made me create an online ministry which is on TikTok and YouTube.

Thank you SOPM for making me a person to bring (a) difference in society. Your teaching is precise and I will recommend others for the 2025 class. Thank you and God bless you.

Attending the School of Practical Ministry in August 2024 was a life-changing experience that transformed my relationship with God and deepened my understanding of biblical truths. Before attending, my faith felt surface-level, and I often struggled to apply scripture to my daily life.

However, the program challenged me to grow spiritually, equipping me with tools and insights that I carry with me as I navigate campus life and strive to make a positive impact among my peers.

The sessions were filled with profound teachings that unraveled the depth of God’s Word.   I learned not only to study the Bible with intentionality, but also to understand its relevance in addressing real-life challenges. This has helped me to see God as a loving Father who is actively involved in every aspect of my life. For instance, I’ve learned to rely on His promises during moments of uncertainty, trusting His guidance and strength.

One of the most impactful lessons was about living out my faith authentically. As a youth, it can be challenging to stand firm in your beliefs, especially in an environment like campus where there are so many distractions. The program helped me grasp what it means to be set apart, to live a life that reflects Christ’s love, and to pursue holiness in a world that often celebrates compromise.

The practical aspect of the ministry training equipped me to share my faith with confidence. I’ve since been able to have meaningful conversations with my peers, encouraging them to explore a relationship with God. I've started leading a small Bible study group on campus, and it has been amazing to see other students begin their journeys of faith.

Most importantly, the School of Practical Ministry instilled in me a sense of purpose as a youth. It taught me that my role in God’s kingdom isn’t confined to a future career or ministry position; it starts now, with the influence I have among my friends and classmates. This perspective has changed how I approach daily life—seeking to glorify God in my decisions, words, and actions. (emphasis added)

In summary, the School of Practical Ministry was a catalyst for my spiritual growth. It drew me closer to God, solidified my understanding of His Word, and empowered me to live out my faith boldly. I am grateful for this experience and excited to continue walking in obedience to God’s call, helping to bring other youth closer to Him as I navigate my campus journey.
