International Training - In 2009, the Lord clearly began opening doors in Africa to train pastors and church leaders through the School of Practical Ministry (SOPM). It was immediately clear to us that the majority of African pastors lack the resources for this type of training. Therefore, we knew this opportunity would only become reality as friends and partners here in the U.S. were willing to step forward and provide financial assistance - often sacrificially.
Most of these pastors have little to no formal Biblical training because it's unavaiabe or too expensive. We have continually seen people like you graciously contribute to this work because they embraced the vision of the impact this training can have. As one pastor shared at the end of the SOPM in Sierra Leone, Africa; "This was like giving life to a dead man."
To date, Evangel had trained over 1,300 pastors and leaders from 7 countries in Africa. Your generous donation is helping to provide necessary resources for those who desperately want and need this type of sound Biblical instruction. While the program is offered at no charge, it is not free. Thus far, Evangel has "gifted" over $700,000 worth of training to the next generation of pastors and leaders in Africa.
