ANSWERING THE CALL/2011

 

In the last issue of the EVANGEL Voice I shared with you about the incredible opportunities God has placed before us.  In July, we will once again be partnering with Ray of Hope Ministries to offer the School of Practical Ministry in Kenya.  In October, we will be partnering with Gethsemane Evangelical Ministries to offer the School of Practical Ministry in Sierra Leone.  We are expecting 30 students in each location.

 

To take advantage of these opportunities is going to require a large outlay of financial resources.  I asked each of our readers to pray and ask God what role they were to play in helping us answer the call.  There were 4 areas of participation; scholarships, ministry funds, travel expenses, and praying/fasting for these trips.  We are so grateful to everyone who has responded.  We still need many more to stand with us.  Won’t you continue to pray and ask God to reveal how you can help.

 

As of May 10, 2011 we have received the following.

 

1.      Scholarships.

q     60 scholarships ($325/student):      $19,500.00

q     Amount Received:                            $1,893.00

 

2.      Ministry Funds.

q     Ministry opportunities:                      $2,000.00

q     Amount Received:                            $50.00

 

3.      Travel Expenses.

q     Travel Costs:                                     $6,000.00

q     Amount Received:                            $100.00

 

4.      Prayer & Fasting (May 1 – Oct. 30).
